The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France is the biggest and most distinguished short film festival in the world. More than 160 000 spectators and 400 industry representatives make sure that Clermont-Ferrand is the place to be for the international short film scene every year in February. For the last seven years we have visited the festival to scout for new films and to meet new and old friends. We are now quite proud to announce our first tour there which is taking place to celebrate the anniversary of the „Soirée Allemande“ – a showcase of outstanding German films presented for ten years now during the festival.

So what about 2014? – A short review
And it really will be short, just a few quite cool things and a little true story.
So what did we achieve – amongst other things – in 2014? We managed to have 26 tours on three continents and to go through a whole tour only using analogue 35mm, 16mm, 8mm, Beta and VHS equipment. We almost shut down the whole traffic in Hamburg's Schanzenviertel with more than 700 people joining our tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the socio-cultural centre „Rote Flora“. We had a new edition of A Wall is a Screen: Maritime with six completely sold out harbour cruises during which films were projected on ships, docks and bridges, and finally we made it to Japan!
To end all the bragging here's a nice little true story: Right after the last film of our tour in Toronto we were approached by someone from the audience who was actually from our hometown Hamburg and had already been to one of our tours there. He was in the middle of an around the world tour and by pure coincidence was in Toronto at the same time as we were. A bit jokingly we said that perhaps he would like to join our tour in Osaka, Japan if that would fit his travel itinerary to which he replied that this might be possible. The team that traveled to Osaka were told that there might be somebody from Hamburg at the tour in Japan and to please say „Hi“ to him. In the end we were really really surprised that indeed the traveller from Hamburg showed up in Osaka for the screening! Therefore, the unofficial honorary mention for most devoted follower goes to Sebastian from Hamburg. It's really great to have such fantastic people following us!

But now for something different: 2015
We are looking forward to meeting you at one of our next tours, wherever this may be!
