...and a party to celebrate 15 years of A Wall is a Screen

A Wall is a Screen: Hamburg, Germany

Back in 2003 when the technical directors of the Short Film Festival were the first ones who decided to bring short films to the streets and city walls, it was labeled „the technician‘s open air“. Now 15 A Wall is a Screen tours at the festival and 250 short film tours in more than 30 countries later, A Wall is a Screen has become a mainstay of the international short film scene.

For the 15th anniversary tour we will start very close to the centre of the founding-festival, at the Euler-Hermes high rise next door to the Kolbenhof. As well as the Kolbenhof area, this iconic building will be torn down within the next years, following the example of many of the walls we have used in Hamburg and all over the world to screen films onto. So, most probably this will be the last chance to illuminate these walls with filmic destruction pears. On this year‘s festival Friday we will be quicker than the developers!

Saturday May 27th and Friday June 9th, Start 22:30 h, Friedensallee 254 Hamburg, Germany
