We have a few tours coming up in the next few weeks, culminating in our 20th anniversary tour in Hamburg. First up is Canada! We are very excited to return to Toronto for the fourth time, this time in cooperation with the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Film Festival. Together with the festival we will explore the Ontario Place area, a former amusement park on an island in Lake Ontario. The city plans to redevelop the entire site, and before it is transformed into something new, we will screen a selection of films inspired by the past, present and perhaps even future of this iconic site.
The Toronto tour takes place on 29 April, full details can be found on our events page.
The following weekend, the tour heads to Osnabrück, Germany. The Peace City Osnabrück is celebrating the 375th anniversary of the Peace of Westphalia and together with the Women's Counselling Centre City and District of Osnabrück we will show a programme around the theme of peace. Peace is also a keyword for the work of the Women's Counselling Centre, which has existed for 35 years and works with/for women* for a life without violence.
The tour in Osnabrück will take place on 6 May, starting at 9:30 pm in front of the OsnabrückHalle.
In May, we will also be guests on the Channel Island of Jersey. Definitely a destination we haven't visited yet! As part of the 13th Parish Festival - Jersey Independent Film Festival, we will explore the city of St Helier on 19 May. More details coming soon.
A Wall is a Screen in April and May, first dates announced.
