After a brilliant start with three events in India, we did not even unpack our luggage and will travel straight on to Clermont- Ferrand, the Berlinale and the Glasgow Short Film Festival.
Thane, a small suburb of Mumbai with 1.8 million inhabitants held the Upvan Arts Festival for the first time ever – a special occasion we did not want to miss. With our mobile equipment on an improvised trolley and speaker stands of bamboo, we circled around Upvan Lake several times, together with 300,000 exited visitors. You can find some great photos from the tour in our photo section.
From February 2nd till 5th we will be at the International Short Film Festival in Clermont- Ferrand, France where we are happy to meet many old and new friends www.clermont-filmfest.com . We will, however, not perform there, but instead concentrate on finding new amazing films. Almost immediately after we will rush to the Berlinale where you will find us at some of the short film events.
A Wall is a Screen member Sarah Adam will be on the international jury of the Glasgow Short Film Festival from February 13th to 17th and will be scouting for interesting places and walls for next year´s tour. www.glasgowfilm.org/gsff.
More events will follow, such as a tour in April during the Filmfest Dresden and in Hoyerswerda in early May. The first Hamburg event of the year will be mid-May, preview for the International Short Film Festival.
